Dr. Lun Ai is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London.
He was given the entry scholarship and awarded an MEng degree in Computing with a specialist in Artificial Intelligence at Imperial College London. He received his PhD at Imperial College London, under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Muggleton.
Dr. Lun Ai specialises in the theory and implementations of Inductive Logic Programming (ILP). He has strong interests in Explainable AI and Computational Scientific Discovery. His works focused on Explainable AI evaluation framework to facilitate better human performance, a key criterion of Ultra-Strong Machine Learning, and interpretable logic-based AI systems to drive scientific discovery. His research has been supported by the UK’s EPSRC Human-Like Computing network, the TAILOR network (under EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme) and the UK’s BBSRC AI-4-EB consortium.
